By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Define landslides and explain at least three causes of landslides in Ghanaian communities.
Classify landslide prevention and mitigation measures into structural and non-structural categories.
Evaluate the effectiveness of at least two landslide management strategies in reducing risk to lives and property.
Apply critical thinking to recommend appropriate landslide prevention measures for a specific at-risk community in Ghana.
Demonstrate emotional self-management when discussing disaster scenarios and empathise with affected communities.

- Using videos/pictures and other sources, discuss the meaning, causes and effects of landslides in small groups.
- Learners should be able to manage their emotional reactions and behaviours using techniques such as mindfulness strategies, breathing, and self-talk.
