Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.1.3.LI.3 - Discuss adaptation strategies and remedies for climate change in Ghana

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Explain at least four adaptation strategies Ghana is using to respond to climate change, giving a specific example for each.
  • Categorise climate responses as either adaptation or mitigation strategies and justify their classification.
  • Assess the suitability of a given adaptation or mitigation strategy for a specific Ghanaian community or climatic zone.
  • Propose a locally appropriate remedy for a climate-related challenge in their own community and defend their choice with reasoning.
  • Create a poster or action plan communicating one adaptation or mitigation strategy to a target audience.
