Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.3.1.LI.1 - Design an infographic to illustrate the art and design processes.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

List the stages of the art and design process in the correct order (from research and ideation to final presentation).
Explain the purpose and features of an effective infographic, including visual hierarchy, clarity, and use of icons and colour.
Research and document at least one real-world social problem in their community that art and design processes could help address.
Design a hand-drawn or digitally created infographic that visually communicates the art and design process in response to a chosen social problem.
Present and defend their infographic to peers, explaining how each stage of the process connects to solving the identified problem.

Experiential Learning: Embracing equity and inclusion, learners visit museums, galleries, art shops, artist's workshops or watch videos/photographs to research and document art and design processes.
Project-Based Learning: working in groups, generate a poster/PowerPoint/video documentary etc., as a documentation on understanding art and design processes.
