Indicator: 1.3.2.LI.1 - Describe transfer-of-technology approaches and methods involved.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define the transfer-of-technology (TOT) approach to agricultural extension delivery in their own words.
- Describe the key features of the Training and Visit (T & V) system, including its purpose, structure and method of operation.
- Explain the roles of the extension agent and the farmer within the T & V system.
- Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the TOT approach based on the Ghanaian experience.
- Compare the TOT approach with the participatory approaches already introduced in previous lessons.
