Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.3.2.LI.2 - Identify all relevant support organisations that offer various services to key actors such as farmers, traders and processors.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define what a support organisation is and explain its role in vegetable and ornamental crop production and marketing.
  2. Identify at least five national support organisations in Ghana that serve farmers, traders and processors in the vegetable and ornamental value chains.
  3. Identify at least three international organisations operating in Ghana that support agricultural development.
  4. Categorise the services offered by these organisations into distinct types, such as financial, technical, research, input supply and marketing support.
  5. Match specific support organisations to the needs of key actors (farmers, traders and processors) in a given scenario.
