Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.1.3.LI.2 - Classify and operate different types of machinery used in crop production.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Classify farm machinery into at least three major groups (land preparation, planting, and harvesting) with appropriate examples for each group.
- Distinguish between farm tools, implements, and machines based on their power source and mode of operation.
- Describe the operating procedure for at least two common types of farm machinery (e.g., tractor-drawn plough and a planter).
- Demonstrate understanding of safety precautions required when operating farm machinery.
- Justify the choice of a particular class of machinery for a given crop production task on a typical Ghanaian farm.
