Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.1.3.LI.1 - Identify the functions of the parts and uses of Agricultural tools and implements used in crop production.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Name at least five common agricultural tools and implements used in crop production in Ghana.
- Identify and state the function of the main parts of a hoe, cutlass, mattock, pickaxe, shovel, and hand trowel.
- Match each tool or implement to the specific crop production activity it is used for (e.g., land clearing, planting, weeding, harvesting).
- Distinguish between simple hand tools and tractor-drawn implements (ploughs, harrows, planters, combined harvesters) based on their uses in crop production.
- Demonstrate proper handling and safety precautions when using selected hand tools during a practical observation or demonstration.
