Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.3.3.LI.1 - Evaluate reasons for selecting a given pathway in sport (preparation for seminar presentation)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

State at least three distinct reasons why an individual might choose a specific sports excellence pathway, such as talent, passion, financial reward, or national representation.
Justify the selection of a chosen sports pathway by weighing its advantages against its challenges using evidence from local and international examples.
Discuss the competencies and skills that must be developed to achieve success in a chosen sports pathway.
Work collaboratively in groups to present evaluated reasons for selecting a sports pathway, with each member contributing orally to the presentation.
Use ICT tools to search for and present information that supports the evaluation of a sports pathway.
