Indicator: B9.5.2.2.1 - Explain the concepts of health and disease and show their relationship.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

State the World Health Organisation (WHO) definition of health in their own words.
Explain that health is more than just the absence of disease, covering physical, mental and social wellbeing.
Define disease as any condition that interferes with the normal functioning of the body or mind.
Describe the relationship between health and disease as two ends of a continuum, where a person can move between states of good health and illness.
Give everyday examples from their community of people who may be free from disease yet not fully healthy, and people who manage diseases while still maintaining good overall health.
