Indicator: B9.3.2.1.1 - Understand the movement of non-planetary bodies in the solar system

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

describe the movement of comets and asteroids in the solar system, including their orbits and speeds.
compare and contrast the movement of comets and asteroids, stating at least three similarities and three differences.
construct a simple diagram showing the paths of a comet and an asteroid around the Sun.
explain why comets develop tails as they approach the Sun and why the tails always point away from the Sun.
research and present information on a named comet or asteroid using available sources such as textbooks or the internet.
