• Causes, e.g.
o Not learning about each other's religion
o Undermining the religious beliefs and practices of others
o State being biased against one religion
• Forming political parties along religious lines

o It can lead to intra- and inter-religious wars
o Destruction of life and property
o Hatred and disunity in society
