Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.5.4.1.1 - Demonstrate Skills in table setting
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the correct positions of cutlery, crockery, glassware, and napkins on a single table cover (place setting).
- Arrange a complete table cover for one person, following the standard order of placing items from the centre outwards.
- Justify the placement of each item on the cover by explaining the logic of use (outside-in order of cutlery use).
- Appraise their own and peers’ table settings using a simple checklist and suggest at least one improvement.
- Demonstrate proper napkin folding techniques (at least two styles) suitable for a formal or semi-formal meal.
