Indicator: B8.2.2.1.2 - Describe the properties of building materials
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Describe at least three properties each of cement, sand, and stones as building materials.
- Explain why cement is chosen to bind aggregates such as sand and stone in mortar and concrete.
- Justify the choice of a specific building material for a given construction purpose based on its properties.
- Prepare a chart showing the properties of cement, sand, and stones for appraisal.
- Present their chart to the class, explaining ideas in a clear order with relevant details.
