By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Define desertification and deforestation in their own words and distinguish between the two phenomena.
Identify at least three causal factors each for desertification and deforestation.
Explain at least three effects each of desertification and deforestation on the environment and human life.
Propose at least three preventive measures each for desertification and deforestation.
Work in groups to research, compile and present findings on desertification and deforestation in a simple report folder.
