Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.1.3.1.2 - Demonstrate understanding of preventive management measures for common injuries associated with sports and physical activity.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least three prevention strategies that reduce the risk of common sports injuries.
- Categorise common sports injuries according to whether prevention is mainly about preparation, equipment, or environment.
- Demonstrate the correct immediate management steps (RICE method) for a soft tissue injury through role play.
- Design a simple injury prevention guide for a chosen sports or physical activity setting.
- Work cooperatively in groups to present prevention and management strategies to the class.
