Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.1.2.1.1 - Research common diseases associated with sedentary behaviours and physical inactivity
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Differentiate between sedentary behaviour and physical inactivity, using local examples from their daily lives.
- Identify at least five common diseases linked to sedentary behaviours and physical inactivity, explaining how each disease develops.
- Work in small groups to research one assigned disease and produce a brief written report using information from multiple sources.
- Present group findings clearly to the whole class, explaining the causes, symptoms, and prevention of the assigned disease.
- Assess their own daily activity levels and suggest practical changes to reduce sedentary time in their lives.
