Chance or Probability
Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.4.2.1.3 - Calculate the probability of the event and express the probability as fractions, decimals, percentages and/or ratios.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Calculate the probability of a single event using the formula: Probability = (Number of favourable outcomes) / (Total number of possible outcomes).
- Express a given probability as a fraction in its simplest form.
- Convert probabilities from fractions to decimals and percentages accurately.
- Represent a probability as a ratio, such as 1:2 or 3:5.
- Solve simple probability problems involving a single die and complete probability tables.
