By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify which zeros in a decimal numeral are significant and which are merely placeholders.
- Round a given decimal numeral to a specified number of significant figures.
- Round a given decimal numeral to a specified number of decimal places.
- Determine the possible original values that could round to a given rounded measurement.
- Justify their rounding decisions using the rules for significant figures and decimal places.
