E.g. 1. Use cut out shapes to demonstrate how to determine the perimeter of 2-D shapes. Ask pupils to measure the sides of the cut out shape and add the results to obtain the perimeter
E.g. 2 Given a rectangular cut out shape, ask pupils to measure the sides of the shape and determine the perimeter of the shape Therefore the perimeter of the triangle given is AB + AD + BC + CD. Thus 4cm + 2cm + 4cm + 2cm = 12cm
