Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
- Learners mention sources of light at home and at the school. - Assemble different sources of light (realia and pictures): stars, torch, lantern, lightning, fireflies, forest fires, light bulbs, candle light etc. - Learners identify and draw sources of light in their environment. - Sort and classify sources of light as artificial or natural. - Learners talk about why and when we need light. - Designs an activity to block light from a torch using a cardboard to illustrate the importance of light. - Discuss with learners: What will happen if there is no light on earth?
