Learning Objectives
Indicator: B1.1.1.1.5 - Represent the comparison of two numbers up to 100 using the symbols “>, < or =”
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Use the terms “more than”, “less than” and “the same as” to compare two numbers between 1 and 50.
- Identify and read the symbols “>”, “<” and “=” correctly when shown to them.
- Use the symbols “>”, “<” or “=” to compare two numbers between 1 and 50.
- Explain their reasoning for choosing a comparison symbol by stating which number is more, less, or the same.
- Write correct comparison statements (e.g. 34 > 27) using the appropriate symbol.
