Learning Objectives

Indicator: B3.4.5.1.2 - Write simple meaningful sentences to express feelings and opinions about people and things

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify words that show feelings (happy, sad, excited, afraid) and opinion words (good, nice, beautiful, boring).
  2. Write at least three simple sentences to express their feelings about a peer, using the pattern “I feel [feeling word] when [reason].”
  3. Write at least three simple sentences to express their opinions about things in the environment, using the pattern “I think [thing] is [opinion word] because [reason].”
  4. Share their sentences with a partner and take turns reading aloud and listening.
  5. Edit their own sentences to check for capital letters, full stops, and correct spelling before publishing a final copy.
