Learning Objectives

Indicator: B1.4.3.1.3 - Write words using both capital and small letters

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Write at least five given words correctly using both capital and small letters.
  2. Identify where capital letters are used in words (the first letter of the word) and where small letters are used (the rest of the letters).
  3. Copy words from the board accurately, spacing out each letter appropriately.
  4. Pronounce target words correctly and repeat them with proper letter sounds.
  5. Write their own name and two other simple words (e.g., names of classmates, objects) using a capital letter followed by small letters.

- Model pronunciation of target words for learners to repeat.
- Let learners copy the words from the board. Encourage learners to space out letters appropriately in the words. Let group leaders help other learners (who are not able to write some letters correctly).
