Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.4.3.1.1 - Use letter-sound relationships to represent most letters in words correctly
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Say the sound of each letter of the alphabet when shown the letter card, and name the letter when they hear its sound.
- Write lowercase and capital letters correctly when they hear the sound, matching the letter to its sound.
- Spell and write simple three-letter words (CVC words) by listening to the sounds in the word.
- Write simple dictated sentences using correct letter-sound relationships for most words.
- Review their own writing and correct at least one letter that does not match the sound they intended.
