Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.4.9.2.1
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Develop ideas from a brainstormed list into a three-paragraph draft on a chosen topic.
- Link ideas within paragraphs using cohesive devices such as “however” and “as a result.”
- Connect ideas across paragraphs using cohesive devices such as “on the other hand.”
- Write a three-paragraph draft without stopping to correct spelling, punctuation, or grammar, focusing only on getting ideas down.
- Identify the three parts of a draft (introduction, body, conclusion) in a sample text.

- Put learners into groups to develop their ideas in This indicator's single exemplar wraps so that the cross reference "...develop their ideas in / B6.4.9.1.1 into a three-paragraph draft" puts a code at the start of a line. It is a reference, not a heading.
