Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.3.4.1.1 - Demonstrate how to effectively search from a web browser.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least three effective search techniques for finding information on the web.
- Explain the purpose of the Boolean operators AND, OR, and NOT in web searches, giving one example of each.
- Construct a search phrase with exact spelling for a given topic and justify why exact spelling matters.
- Demonstrate a search using a combination of two or more techniques to find a specific piece of information.
- Evaluate whether a search attempt returned relevant results and adjust the search phrase when the first attempt fails.
