Indicator: B8.3.4.1.2 - Explore the use of more than one search engine

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least three different search engines (e.g., Google, Yahoo, Ask) and state the purpose of each.
  2. Use two or more search engines to search for the same query and record the results they observe.
  3. Compare the number and order of results returned by different search engines for the same search terms.
  4. Discuss at least two similarities and two differences between the results obtained from different search engines.
  5. Explain why it can be useful to try more than one search engine when looking for information online.
