Learning Objectives
Indicator: K1.6.3.1.5 - Design, make, exhibit, and respond to own or others art works (2-dimensional and 3-dimensional).
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Design and draw a 2-dimensional picture of a water source, such as a river, well, tap, or rain cloud, with simple shapes and colours.
- Make a simple 3-dimensional water source model using clay, paper, or recycled materials.
- Exhibit their artwork by placing it on the display table and talking about it using positive words like “I like my drawing because…” or “My picture shows a river.”
- Respond to classmates’ artworks by saying one kind thing about each, using phrases like “I like the colours you used.”
- Sort and arrange drawings on the display table according to colour, shape, and size, and describe where a selected drawing is placed.

Learners make a picture of any of the sources of water using the conversational poster as a guide. Have learners talk about their own drawing and that of others using positive language. Have learners label their drawing (write the name of the source of water they drew under their drawing). Have learners sort their drawing according to colours, shape and size and arrange them.
