Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.5.1.1.1 - Apply information from research on good management practices of waste to make the environment clean.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least four good waste management practices and explain the scientific principle behind each one.
- Carry out a simple waste audit of their school compound and record the types and quantities of waste found.
- Plan and execute a project to clean or improve a designated area of the school environment using researched waste management practices.
- Present a short report (oral or written) on their waste management project, describing what was done and the outcome.
- Evaluate different waste management methods and justify which ones are most suitable for specific types of waste found in their community.
