Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.3.3.1.1 - Apply vocabulary appropriately in specific contexts
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the appropriate language forms used when asking for and giving advice and use at least four of them correctly in a short dialogue.
- Distinguish between expressions used for agreeing and those used for disagreeing, and use at least three of each in a class discussion.
- Apply appropriate vocabulary and phrases when ordering food in a restaurant through a role-play activity.
- Select and use suitable vocabulary for giving a short speech at a friend’s birthday party.
- Adjust their choice of words and expressions based on whether they are speaking to peers or adults.

I've no idea what to do. - What do you think I should do? - What would you recommend? - What would you do if you were me? - Do you think I should ...? Giving advice: possible suggestions - You could always … (go to the shop and ask for an exchange). - My advice would be to ... (take it back and ask for a refund). - What you need to do is ... (make a copy in case the original gets lost). - One thing you could do is ... (read your speech/presentation to a friend). 2. When agreeing and disagreeing Agreeing: - I tend to agree with you. - That's a good idea. - I'm with you on that point. - I'll go along with that.
