By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define a homonym in simple terms as words that look and sound the same but have different meanings.
- Identify at least two different meanings for given homonyms when they appear in different sentences.
- Use context clues in a sentence to decide which meaning of a homonym is intended.
- Write their own sentences showing two different meanings of the same homonym.
- Work in pairs to explain to a friend how they knew which meaning of a homonym was being used in a sentence.
