Indicator: B6.3.5.1.6 - Use the past continuous form of verbs to talk about actions/events which were going on when a second one took place

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the past continuous form of verbs in given sentences and explain what it shows.
  2. Form the past continuous tense using was and were with the -ing form of main verbs.
  3. Combine two past actions in a single sentence using when, where one action was ongoing and the second interrupted it.
  4. Write four original sentences describing interrupted past actions using the past continuous form correctly.
