Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.3.5.1.5 - Use irregular form of the simple past tense of verbs

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify the simple past forms of at least 10 common irregular verbs (e.g., go went, build built, eat ate) when they see or hear them in sentences.
Change at least 8 regular and irregular verbs from their base form to their simple past form correctly.
Use the irregular simple past forms of at least 6 verbs correctly in their own spoken sentences.
Use the irregular simple past forms of at least 6 verbs correctly in their own written sentences.
Work collaboratively in groups to generate and present additional examples of irregular past tense verbs to the class.
