Indicator: B4.3.5.1.1 - Use different types of verbs

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the main verb in a given sentence and explain what action or state it shows.
  2. Recognise helping verbs (auxiliary verbs) such as is, are, am, was, were in sentences.
  3. Distinguish between a main verb and a helping verb when both appear in the same sentence.
  4. Write their own sentences using a main verb and a helping verb together.
  5. Underline the helping verb and circle the main verb in sentences correctly.
