Indicator: B3.5.6.1.1 - Identify qualifying words
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define an adverb as a word that qualifies or describes an action (verb).
- Identify common adverbs in given sentences and underline or point them out correctly.
- Explain what the adverb tells us about the verb in a sentence (how, when, or where the action happens).
- Contribute at least two new adverbs of their own during class discussion and use them in simple sentences.
- Work with a partner to find adverbs in a short passage and share their findings with the class.
