Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.6.5.1.1 - Identify and describe forms in a web page.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least three different types of form controls (text fields, dropdown boxes, combo boxes) when shown a web page or a printed screenshot of one.
  2. Describe the purpose of a form in everyday language, using examples like registration pages, search boxes, and feedback forms.
  3. Match each form control (text field, dropdown box, combo box, radio button, checkbox) to its correct name and function.
  4. Locate and point out the various parts of a form on a sample web page, including the submit button and the input areas.
  5. Explain the difference between a dropdown box and a combo box in simple terms.
