Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.5.3.1.3 - Use the “-ing” nouns to refer to activities.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify “-ing” nouns (gerunds) in given sentences and explain that they name activities.
- Use common action verbs such as sing, swim, read, cook, dance, and play to form “-ing” nouns.
- Construct at least three original sentences using “-ing” nouns to talk about activities they enjoy or do regularly.
- Distinguish between verbs ending in “-ing” (action words) and nouns ending in “-ing” (names of activities) in simple sentences.
- Use “-ing” nouns correctly after verbs like enjoy, like, love, and dislike in spoken and written sentences.
