Indicator: B5.5.6.1.1 - Use adverbs to express manner
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify adverbs of manner in given sentences and passages.
- Explain that adverbs of manner tell us how an action is done and modify verbs.
- Form adverbs of manner by adding “ly” to adjectives (e.g., slow to slowly, careful to carefully).
- Use adverbs of manner correctly in their own sentences and short paragraphs.
- Present their written work to peers and give and receive feedback on the use of adverbs of manner.
