Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.5.6.1.1 - Use adverbs to talk about when and where the action of a verb took place

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define adverbs of time and place in their own words and identify them in given sentences.
  2. Sort a list of adverbs into two groups: adverbs that tell WHEN (time) and adverbs that tell WHERE (place).
  3. Use at least two adverbs of time and two adverbs of place correctly in sentences to describe events.
  4. Narrate a short personal event (orally and in writing) using adverbs to show when and where the action happened.
  5. Present their written stories to a group or the class, demonstrating correct use of adverbs of time and place.
