Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.5.4.1.1 - Identify the present continuous form of action words in spoken and written communication
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the present continuous form of action words in spoken sentences when the teacher reads them aloud.
- Point out the present continuous form of action words in a short written passage.
- State the rule for forming the present continuous (add -ing to the action word, with am, is or are before it).
- Distinguish between a simple action word (e.g., run) and its present continuous form (e.g., running) when both appear in the same sentence.
- Explain that the present continuous form shows an action happening right now.

- Through demonstration, assist learners to use the continuous form of the action words such as running, eating and sitting. Provide sentences and let learners identify the continuous form of the action words: e.g. Adongo is running with the ball.
