Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.5.5.1.1 - List and describe the different types of plants and animals that live in different land forms such as plateau plain, mountain valley and others (with emphasis on land forms in Ghana).
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least three different landforms in Ghana (mountain, plain, plateau, and valley) and give a local example of each.
- List at least five plants and five animals found in a given Ghanaian landform and state where in Ghana that landform can be found.
- Describe at least two physical or behavioural characteristics that help a named animal survive in its specific landform.
- Describe at least two structural features (such as deep roots, waxy leaves, or flexible stems) that help a named plant survive in its specific landform.
- Sort pictures or drawings of Ghanaian plants and animals into their correct landform, justifying each placement with at least one reason.
