Learning Objectives

Indicator: K1.2.1.1.6 - Introduce the concept “more than” to learners and solve some word puzzles with the concept.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Show which group has more members by pointing to or touching the group with a larger number
  • Use the words “more than” correctly when comparing two groups of objects or people
  • Arrange milk tins to represent the number of people in different birthday-name groups
  • Solve simple word puzzles that ask “Which group has more members?” using concrete objects
  • Explain in their own words what “more than” means when comparing two groups
