Learning Objectives
Indicator: K1.2.1.1.7 - Role-play the responsibilities of family members
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Name at least three family members (e.g., father, mother, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather) and state one responsibility of each.
- Act out a responsibility of a family member during role-play, using appropriate actions and simple vocabulary.
- Identify and describe what a child’s own responsibility is at home (e.g., sweeping, fetching water, tidying toys).
- Use at least two new vocabulary words (e.g., “sweep,” “cook,” “fetch,” “care”) correctly while role-playing.
- Work with a partner or small group to perform a short role-play scene showing family members carrying out their duties.
