Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.5.1.LI.1 - Apply the appropriate safety measures in the woodwork shop
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define health and safety in the woodwork workshop and explain why safety precautions are essential in the woodwork industry.
- Identify and describe at least five personal safety items (protective clothing and equipment) used in the woodwork shop.
- Classify safety measures under personal safety, workshop safety, and material safety categories.
- Discuss at least four common causes of accidents in the woodwork shop and how each can be prevented.
- Demonstrate the correct use of protective equipment and apply appropriate safety practices when performing a simple workshop task.
