Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.1.1.1.5. Study the artworks of some international visual artists that reflect topical issues in some communities in the world
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least two international visual artists whose works address topical global issues such as war, racism, corruption or digital fraud.
- Describe the topical issue reflected in a given artwork, using the concepts of theme, purpose and message.
- Discuss an artwork based on its type, technique, style, materials and tools, using simple art vocabulary.
- Compare two artworks from different artists and explain how each one communicates its message to the viewer.
- Share their own opinion about an artwork and justify it with at least one reason, showing collaboration during group discussions.
