Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.5.6.LI.3 - Discuss ways in which the youth can be empowered to contribute to the development of their communities

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Explain the meaning of youth empowerment and how it connects to national development.
  2. Identify at least five concrete ways the youth can be empowered to contribute to community development in Ghana.
  3. Evaluate which empowerment strategies are most practical in their own district or region, giving reasons for their choices.
  4. Use digital tools to research a youth empowerment initiative and present findings to the class with a clear structure.
  5. Work in mixed groups to propose a feasible youth empowerment project for a selected community, identifying people, resources, and first steps.
