Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.2.1.LI.2 - Differentiate between tradition, culture and worldviews in terms of design.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define tradition, culture, and worldview in their own words with reference to design and visual art.
- Distinguish between tradition and culture, giving at least two examples of each from Ghanaian visual art and design.
- Explain how a designer’s or artist’s worldview shapes the objects they produce.
- Construct a Venn diagram or organogram showing how culture and worldview combine to produce artefacts.
- Present and justify their analysis of a chosen cultural object, showing how tradition, culture, and worldview are reflected in its design.
