Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.1.2.1.7 - Compare objects and numerals between 1 to 20

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Use the words “more than”, “less than”, “equal to”, “greater than” and “smaller than” to compare two numbers between 1 and 20.
  2. Compare two groups of objects (up to 20 objects) and state which group has more, less or the same number.
  3. Use the words “10 more than” and “10 less than” to describe a number between 1 and 20.
  4. Use the symbols “<”, “>” and “=” to compare two numerals between 1 and 20.
  5. Work with a partner to sort and compare number cards and objects, explaining their thinking aloud.
