Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.1.2.1.3 - Apply new words acquired from the read aloud text to own life.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Recall at least three new body part words from the read aloud text (e.g. stomach, lungs, brain, heart).
  2. Use each new word in a simple spoken sentence about their own life or experience.
  3. Match at least two invisible body parts to their functions using sentence frames such as “The __ helps me to __.”
  4. Draw a simple picture of one invisible body part and describe it to a partner using one complete sentence.
  5. Demonstrate confidence when sharing their sentences with the class during the sharing circle.
