Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.1.2.1.5 - Sing an action song that helps you name the parts of the body and point to them
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Sing “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” aloud with the teacher and classmates, touching each body part as it is named.
- Point correctly to at least four internal body parts (heart, lungs, brain, stomach) when they are named in a song.
- Perform the actions of a body part action song in time with the rhythm, showing they can match words to movements.
- Name at least three parts of the body (external and internal) from a song they sing in their local language or English.
- Create a simple new verse for a body song by substituting one body part name with another (for example, changing “knees” to “elbows”).
